Inspired by our love of Southern style barbecue, we created AC with a desire to feed hungry folk in a relaxed and friendly environment! The pine walls of our cozy dining room are filled with fun and quirky signs ranging from BBQ facts to Benjamin Franklin’s thoughts on drinking water, so there’s always something waiting to be discovered.

One of our main goals here at AC is to support local as much as we can! From the unique bar designed by long-time friend Sol Ostap, the amazing logos and mascot “AC the Pig” created for us by the talented Jordan Danielsson of Lost Art, to our local suppliers at Thunder Oak Cheese Farm, Roma Bakery, Thunder Bay Meat Processing, and the unbelievable team at Maltese Grocery, Thunder Bay is in our DNA!

IT WAS ALL
A DREAM...

Our culinary team is headed by Chef Jason MacKenzie and Sous-Chef Sean Leveille, who have dreamed of owning and operating their own restaurant since becoming best friends at the age of 6.

The dynamic duo work tirelessly to ensure Thunder Bay’s craving for delicious comfort food is satiated, and insist on making (just about) everything we serve in-house.

The chefs can’t do it all alone though, and have built a highly skilled and dedicated team to make their dream a reality!
